Julia Deslis is a freelance architect based in Athens, Greece. After completing her studies in interior architecture and design at Athens Technological Institute she continued her education in the field of architecture in Glasgow-Scotland. She obtained a B.Arch from Mackintosh School of Architecture and a Diploma and Masters of Architecture from Strathclyde University, graduating with distinction in 2003. Her working experience includes collaborations with the architectural firms Acroproject and Anamorphosis Architects in Athens, where she participated in the design process as well as in construction supervision in a diverse range of projects, from furniture, installations and interiors to shops, private houses, cultural centers and landscapes. Since 2008 she has been running her own practice undertaking the design and completion of several projects, supported by a technically specialized team of external collaborators. Julia when designing is trying to combine the client's requirements and budget with efficiency, imagination and innovation. The final product is quality environments with unique identity, aesthetically pleasing and inspiring, where people can effectively and happily live and interact.
